The recipe to acne-free skin

The recipe to acne-free skin

The only thing that’s required is a blender

When it comes to skincare, what you put into your body is just as important as what you apply on your face. Instead of piling on layers and layers of acne products, why not add on a different step to your acne-free routine by juicing for clearer and stronger skin.

Just throw these essential ingredients into a blender and treat your skin to a much-needed cup of juice twice a week.

1 green apple

1 handful of parsley

1 handful of kale

2 handfuls of romaine lettuce

3 stalks of celery

½ cucumber

½ lemon

1 inch of ginger

1 small box of coconut water (approx. 330ml)

This green juice comes with vitamins that acne-prone skin would be thankful for. This nutrient-packed “cocktail” will contribute to building stronger skin cells, and naturally prevent the recurrence of acne. Now, let’s unpack it for you!

The leafy greens

All the greens packed in this smoothie are full of vitamins E and K. These vitamins help wounds heal and reduce scarring — perfect for any post-acne recovery.

Cucumber juice

A skin toner from nature — not only is it loaded with antioxidants and silica that helps with lightening, it soothes inflamed and irritated skin as well.

Lemon juice

A rich source of vitamin C, lemon juice improves the appearance of your skin and promotes faster healing.

Celery

Celery too has a lot of vitamin C, which is great for acne clearing as it stimulates collagen production. It also removes any bad waste products from the body that could otherwise contribute to breakouts.

Ginger

With its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, this root not only helps reduce existing acne, it could ward off future ones as well.

Coconut water

This trendy elixir is a hydrating drink, nature’s source of electrolytes, that can help keep skin moisturized from the inside.
