What do you enjoy most about being the Face of POND’S?
It has to be the attention! [Laughs] I know this might sound shallow, but it feels so good when people recognise me as the Face of POND’S and are excited to see me. It makes me feel like I’m THAT girl. I love it.
Tell us something the world doesn’t know about you?
I’m an open book and I talk a whole lot! I’m sure you guys have noticed.
What is your favourite childhood memory?
I have quite a few but my favourite has to be the day that I bathed in a bathtub for the first time. We didn’t have one at home so when my uncle bought a house in Pietermaritzburg, we went to visit him and that’s when I used one. I was in Grade 4 at the time and we didn’t have one or a flushing toilet at home, so the whole experience felt like a movie and I was really happy.
Which beauty products can’t you live without?
I absolutely love the POND’S Lasting Oil control Vanishing cream – I can’t go anywhere without it. And the second product I can’t live without is lip gloss.
Who do you look up to and why?
Honestly, I don’t have a specific person that I look up to because I look up to a lot of different people for different reasons. I can’t think of just one person. However, what I can say is I admire Bonang because of her work ethic and I aspire to be as focused as her in the future.
What is your “feel good” song when you’re in a funk?
Ngiyashisa bhe by Mfaz' Omnyama. I really love Maskandi.
If you could be a superhero, what powers would you love to have?
The power to heal. I would want the power to heal people without hurting myself.
What are your pet peeves?
Bad manners. I can’t deal with people that don’t say “please” and “thank you”. I just can’t.
