A story of skincare breakthroughs over more than 150 years
Watch how Pond's has bloomed since 1846 to become the world's leading skin care brand.
1846 THE GOLDEN TREASURE
In 1846 American pharmacist named Theron T. Pond invented the ‘Golden Treasure’ - a healing tea extracted from witch hazel, which he discovered could strengthen skin below the surface, helping it repair itself from small cuts and numerous other ailments. Soon after, the product became widely popular as the Pond's Extract.
1960 The Bloom Of The Iconic Tulip
Pond’s introduced its iconic Tulip logo in the 1960s, a symbol of stunningly delicate feminine beauty that has since then epitomized the brand’s promise of strength inside and softness outside, whatever your skin is facing.
1990 The Pond's Institute Was Born
With the birth of The Pond’s Institute in the 1990s (today a global network of 700 scientists and skin specialists), Pond’s firmly established itself as one of the world’s leading expert in advanced skincare research and diagnostics. With over 200 patents, The Pond’s Institute introduced many firsts in skin cleansing and age management. These include VAO-B3, which can fade dark marks in just 7 days; Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), anti-aging active that works from deep within to speed up skin regeneration and restore damaged skin cells; and GenActiv. A breakthrough skin tone innovation.
