3 THINGS IN YOUR KITCHEN THAT’S GREAT FOR YOUR SKIN

In Beautiful Habits

You know that old saying, what you put in is what you get out? Well, it goes for your skin too. Having beautiful habits and caring for your skin with a daily Pond’s regime is very important, but there are other habits you can add to your regime to further enhance your skin, and some of them start in the kitchen, not the bathroom.

  1. Older skin cells are constantly falling off your skin, replaced by fresh cells. By eating the right foods you can help feed your skin the vital nutrients it needs for this regeneration process. One of these must haves is ‘selenium’ which helps protect your skin against skin cancer, sun damage and age spots. You’ll find it in fish, eggs, tomatoes and broccoli, making it easy to eat your way to healthier skin.
  2. One of your skin’s most basic needs is moisture. Even when you’re slightly dehydrated your skin can look dry and tired. Drink 6 – 8 glasses of water a day and see your skin perk up instantly. One beautiful habit if you work in an office, is to keep a large bottle of water on your desk, to remind you to drink up.
  3. Tea bags aren’t just great for tea. If you have dark or puffy bags under your eyes, don’t throw your teabag away when you make your next cup. The caffeine and tannins in that bag contain anti-inflammatory agents, that will soothe and reduce your puffiness. Leave a couple of teabags in boiling water for five minutes, pop them in the fridge to cool, then cover each eye with one bag. Chamomile works better than ceylon, because it has added anti-inflammatory properties. Rounds of cool cucumber work well too. Your eye’s will look and feel refreshed in no time.

The habits you keep make you the woman you are. Learn how to make your skin and your life more beautiful every day with Beautiful Habits from POND’S.
