Stress isn’t good for anyone. Especially for your skin.
Stress makes you frown; it dehydrates you, and it drains your positive energy, which is crucial to having great skin.
Here are 4 ways to lessen the amount of stress in your life (and on your skin):
1. Write lists – If something is bothering you, or keeping you up at night, write it down. If you have so much to do and feel like you don’t know where to start, make a list. Remember, the second a thought is written down, it can stop circling your brain and dragging you down. And once you have a list, you have a plan.
2. Smile – You may not feel much like smiling all the time but research shows that if you’re having a bad day and you make yourself smile, you can alter your own mood and the mood of those around you too. It’s the yawn principle. When you see someone else smiling or yawning, it’s very difficult not to do the same. Plus, it will hold your frown lines at bay.
3. Take a break from feeling stressed – Go for a walk, stretch a little, pick a flower and smell it for one whole minute or dance like crazy. Do something, anything that sends your brain in a different direction. You can get back to your stress straight afterwards, but chances are you won’t want to.
4. Get some help – We understand you’ll never be able to avoid stress in your life completely, there will always be those small things that niggle you and your skin. For those we recommend our Pond’s Flawless Radiance range.
